02 Your Vision, Alive
It’s not a secret that the imagination is the one of the most powerful forces on earth. Are we utilizing ours in a way that is most constuctive to our fullness and goals?
Who do we see ourselves as? What is the story we are telling about ourselves through our own imaginations?
Whether we realize it or not, how we imagine ourselves, and our future, has a significant affect on the future we create, for better or for worse.
We know that imagination, on its own, doesn’t bring us to where we want to be. But identity + imagination + action? There is a true recipe for success. If we see ourselves to be more than we are currently, we are more likely to take actions towards that future self - that is to say, we cannot realize a future that is beyond where we vision cast, or what we imagine.
Imagination is great news. And yes, we can act towards whatever we imagine ourselves to be. But, even so, that image that we hold of ourself isn’t meant to sustain us as a true identity shift would. If that were the case - our lives would be dependent on how well we were doing in working towards our imagined future self - our happiness and well being would hinge on whether or not we felt we could or were truly becoming that person.
And we can’t have our stability hinging on whether or not our dreams coming true.
However, this still doesn’t undermine the importance of imagination and vision casting, for without it, we cannot break through the ceilings of our current situations. Imagination gives us hope for the betterment of our future.
Let’s make your vision a reality, and, perhaps, it will turn out even better than you had imagined.
